Wamego Football Poster
Here's a couple versions of Marc Stratton's football pic for the 2013 kids--one is a little cleaner, the other is fairly GRUNGY! Neither of these is what was used for the banner. I went in and changed my dark shadow behind the boys and took out more of the textures...but I rather like my bottom version where the lights are bright and hazy! Don't know if we are doing one for all the football team yet.

Old Victorian Frame and Rhodes Elias
Messing around with a floral design from http://antiqueimages.blogspot.com/2013/08/free-digital-label-design-printable.html and decided to use one of the borders, but turn it into an entire frame...filled it in, added a baby, deleted parts of the baby, did some blending modes and grunge from lostandtaken.com....and viola! I like it!

Garden Isle Divers, Kauai Scuba Diving
WOW!
Garden Isle Diving on Kauai is so awesome. I've met Travis, such a kind and earnest guy, a romantic at heart--a young man with a sweet wife. Then there is partner Nate, boat captain, steadfast and loyal, a great problem-solver with 2 little boys and a sweet wife too! Both these men stress safety, have led dives for years in many places around the world, and are very hard workers--they've spent every spare minute getting their new boat ready--The Salty Dog.
If you have any time to take a shore dive or a boat dive, I'd pick these two. To find out more, check out gardenisledivers.com.

Sea Hares Day on a Kauai Beach
Emery was sitting under a tent with his squishy sea-hares in hand...I remember finding one long ago and they leak purple ink...didn't know what it was at the time! No color, posterized, luminosity and a light filter:

Rylan on a Toadstool
While Sarah was busy updating pics on her facebook, I couldn't resist plucking Rylan out of one and putting him in a more warm and fairy-like background--lots of snow in their area! Here he is, 10 1/2 months and smiling his endearing little smile!
I used the lovely toadstools from biltongmakers.com and will take it down if you want...

Before and After PhotoShop
When Bailey sent me this pic of Emery examining the 'teeth' of this plastic lizard, I decided I hadn't played in PhotoShop for a quite some time....the background pics are from McBryde garden--one of the luscious yellow flowering trees that we'd parked under and the weird Dr. Suess-like tree with tiny pink poofs that hung suspended from yard-long streamers.
The lady bug represents Emery's 3rd Birthday cake of choice...I call this pic "The Aphid Eater"....because he knows what all of his plastic insects eat (as seen on Sandy's video!)...and serves them breakfast. And if there are any doubts at all, he demands entomology information from Google!
(Been racking my brain to recall that cement--it's the Mall w/ Salt Pond Gelato, right?!)
